Fun fact: When Peter almost drops the orb and catches it, apparently he really did fumble it and stayed in character, so they used that take. Very Quill-like. 😂

Alex is really right about the movie being an extremely ballsy move by the Marvel execs. I remember before this movie came out in theaters, I thought, "Well, this'll be the first bomb. There's no way I'm going to like a movie with a talking racoon and tree." Walked out of the movie admitting I was wrong. They did SUCH a good job with Guardians.

When Groot says, "We are Groot." It's literally Vin Diesel saying, "We are Family." Lol

As an explanation: This soldier/guard or whatever he is, his wife and child were on the bridge during the attack. So he's lucky they survived and he got home safe too.
And that duck at the end sipping a cocktail is Howard the Duck, another MCU/comic character from Marvel.

This is one of the silliest movies in the MCU, and also one of the most emotional.

I tear up every time I hear the walking tree say 'We are Groot', and that is quite the accomplishment lol

“Pelvic sorcery” is one of my favorite terms from any movie. All the characters in this movie are perfection… casting, costume design and execution… absolutely amazing. The soundtrack sets this movie apart from others. It’s so fantastic.

Guardians was such a turning point for the franchise for me. You're right in the middle of the start of where it truly starts getting good

Welcome to the cosmic side of the MCU, Marvel took a huge gamble with James Gunn's bottom of the barrel hero choice. While I knew of the Guardians of the Galaxy in 2010, a big majority had no idea who they were. James Gunn brought the GotG to the top, he was given free control of everything. The studio did ask him to put in Thanos, but that's all the meddling they did. Now, onto Age of Ultron.

In the comics, Yondu was part of the original lineup of the Guardians. There's been about seven iterations of the team.
