If it actually guided players effectively, there would be way more players. As a new player you're just going to give up because of the sheer amount of information thrown at you at once

instead of adding insane new content that makes player's neurons immediately activate, the devs seem to have said "It's quality of lifing time" and then quality of lifed everywhere

I think the biggest problem is that there isn't enough big milestone progression after a while. Like for example, in dungeons literally everything is min-maxing. Stars, g7 p7, ect ect.

I think there are creators who definitely appeal to the money making aspect of skyblock, but mostly that is because that behavior is rewarded by the algorithm. I will agree that slop is present, but I also think there are lots of creators who are doing a great job at the moment. My point is there are great creators currently, but the current skyblock systems has most players worried about coins and not about story or entertainment. Hopefully, Hypixel can trickle down on the grind, grind, grind and focus more on the do your own thing aspect of mmos.
