Always appreciated how the T-600 stands out, next to all it's successors. It's not shiny, doesn't have any real tricks, isn't super advanced... It's just a steel Nemesis, dull colored, and utterly blunt in it's purpose. It's a kill-bot, and that's ALL it is.

My favorite T-600 portrayal is from Terminato:The Sarah ConnorChronicles. The units pass as human from a distance and are human-sized, but by the time you can tell that they're not human it is too late. The scratches and scrapes on their flesh don't bleed and the hair looks off, like a cheap wig or toupee. The TSCC version was the closest to the one that I envisioned in my mind when Kyle described them to Sarah in the original Terminator movie from 1984.

Terminator Resistance portrayed them really well in the Annihilation Line DLC. You can even chip away at their rubber faces.

My sort of head canon is that the 600 series was Skynet's attempt at miniturisation. The HK's are all actual vehicles they are massive. The 600s were Skynet's first attempt at something closer to human size. At over 7 feet and with unconvincing rubber skin, this was an early best effort.<br><br>But improved with the T-800 series the skin is now real living tissue, and the chassis stands at about 6"2. Tall, but not weird for a human male. This explains why the T-800 looks like a tall, jacked bodybuilder it's the smallest Skynet has managed to make them yet.<br><br>Then finally perfected with the T-1000 which can within limits impersonate any adult human flawlessly.

Its like my first car - it was rusty, tatty, the rubber and plastic was dropping off, but it was reliable beyond expectation and just kept going!
