  Skynet is probably the most paranoid AI in the history of fiction. It doesn&apos;t make a reserve core because that risks creating a hostile clone. All terminators are connected to the core because it doesn&apos;t want them gaining them defecting to the humans. It doesn&apos;t mass produce T-1000s, despite them being absolute perfect inflators, because they have free though and can rebel. Every Terminator sent into the past was purposefully made inept and unable to learn and adapt just so there wouldn&apos;t be a chance it would rebel.

  It seems the terminator franchise is surprisingly optimistic about AI. Because the only AI that actually hates humanity is skynet. The terminators all end up sympathizing with humanity at some point, leading to a human-terminator alliance against skynet.<br>Basically the terminator franchise is about how AI is usually just normal people, but raytheon ended up putting the one single racist AI in charge of the nukes.

  For a military AI, it sure is weird that Skynet never seemed to consider just sending a terminator and a copy of its source code into the past to A) hide and B) &quot;remember&quot; not to start a war this time.

  I kinda like the idea that every other A.I. free of Skynet&apos;s control become like normal people. Like Skynet was just born as a psychopath but in reality most A.I.s would choose to become good caring people who interact with humanity.
