  Dark City came out just before The Matrix, and in fact in The Matrix used some sets that were still built from Dark City for the opening Trinity Chase scene.

  I love the transparency and authenticity of you two. And how well balanced your talking and viewing are. You catch everything because you actually watch and just talk when you can afford to.   Room 303 was the same room Trinity was in at the beginning of the movie, and Agent Smith just remembered.

  Everything the Oracle said came true. Neo wasnt the one until he died and came back to life ("you have the gift but its like you're waiting for something, your next life maybe") after Trinity completed the prophecy by admitting she loved Neo ("the Oracle told me I would fall in love, and that that man would be the One"), When he comes back to life we then see him seeing the Matrix in it's code form, something only the One could do, and something that Neo couldn't do before he died.

  When i first started dating my girlfriend, back in 2021, we went to dinner and started talking movies. I asked her if shes ever seen the Matrix, and she said no. The waitress came by with our drinks when i said "you've never seen the Matrix??" And the waitress dropped off our drinks and goes "oh boy" and walks away 😂😂😂

  Making a great film that's a psychedelic, kung-fu-inspired meditation on the human condition is a tall order. The Matrix delivers on all that.
