Having had YouTube premium for years and not seeing any ads since 2019, I had no clue how bad the AI ads were getting until I paused my membership and it ran out a couple days ago….holy crap it’s every Ad that is AI generated now even for big brands.

It is not only AI that is taking the jobs. It is also LESS VIEWERS. In this economy , many people are working two jobs. Some people study and have a job. <br>NO TIME to watch TV, NO time to watch movies, or series. If there is time, then it is less and less time. Poverty means you have less time to do things

It's not just the actors. The whole staff and crew is screwed. Anyone with good PC and creativity can make AI movie now... So even the whole media company is screwed.

This hits home because my friends are over there and telling me this as well. They aren't Chinese, but foreigners living in China. Before, they were making really good money as actors and actresses, but now they have a hard time getting many gigs because of AI. It doesn't completely replace them, but their workloads have been shortened by a lot. They used to get too many offers, but now are getting very few offers for work.
