  I feel like online leftists (mainly white) are too obsessed with "looking" revolutionary and uncompromising. They like being part of an in-group that "gets it", whereas people who live outside of the internet know that you can't build anything with such a small group of people who "get it". Not everyone will understand the complexities of Marxism or MLMism etc, but they can understand simple things like wanting to be fed and housed and that's where you gotta meet people. At their level. But I have to also note, that his interview and this video is decisively the right approach. The Left knows its inspired by Black Radicalism, but the AUDIENCE does not know that. If you are afraid to specify the racial dynamics in your message, a Black audience wont take you seriously. Alot of leftists lead with pitching FDR era policies, forgetting that it was only viable thru a racial caste logic. As soon as that order was threatened, WORKERS ELECTED to get rid of their own social gains. Your pitch to a Black audience has to stand on something tangible like the Black Panthers. Then argue that rebuilding the Rainbow coalition will result in policies BETTER than FDR.

  Exactly. You always have to consider the audience otherwise you will come off as if you&apos;re talking to yourself. At that point the audience has no reason to buy into the conversation because there is none. I constantly hear what I would like to say but after considering the immediate audience have to selectively find what the in is. What are their personal issues, life situation, etc.
