The vibration from the older Harley’s didn’t bother me when I was younger but now that I’m 70 years old and still riding my shovel head low rider it hurts my joints especially my knees maybe I need some aftermarket parts LOL

I had my 2001 TC scheduled for cam chain tensioners @50 K miles. I saw a 2012 FLHTK on the floor, and traded my 01 FLHTCUI on the spot. At least I got 50 K out of my 01. I guess I dodged a grenade.

Why all this bashing of the AMF-era? I once owned a 74 CID Shovelhead, and it was a very reliable bike. Standard ignition, points. It did not leak oil and started mostly on first kick (standard Keihin carb) I loved that bike. That engine had more character than the EVO I ride now.

The Vin was still stamped on the sportster motor up at least until 78. I know I pulled mine out of a box several boxes matter fact, I have more money in this bike now than it sold for brand new but it’s my little piglet.☮️☯️😎

AMF didn't almost kill H hyphen D. The H hyphen-D was nearly in default when AMF bought it and saved H hyphen D. AMF brought in CNC equipment, modernized the company and started the development of the EVO. Even Willie G confirms this.

Damn didn't keep watching why.ive owned a shop yes vins very important but damn zero about starting a cold engine and soon as fires up the full throttle rev .which does way more internal damage than anything.then many more important things
