  It's amusing how so many Americans fear the 'one world government' but also believe American laws are applicable in other countries or other countries SHOULD follow American laws.  So, no 'one world government' unless it's the American government running the world.

  I’m not sure if Thiel believes in the Anti-Christ, or Christ for that matter. He knows many do, and he uses this to access power and support from believers.

  Palantirs were the seeing stones in The Lord of the Rings. One way they could be used was to manipulate the user of another stone to form &nbsp;false conclusions based on selective showing of future visions. This was how Sauron used them. It has been compared to propaganda, &nbsp;especially in WWII, when Tolkien was writing. So yeah, Skynet.

  Thiel is so transparent it’s absurd, he’s basically the hotdog sketch from “I think you should leave,” but if the hotdog car was a global system of surveillance and control. “Oh my god, who could’ve done this?” He says while loading facial recognition software into a gun drone. Someone points out he’s wearing an anti-Christ costume and he’s like “anti-Christ? Me? You’re crazy, if you’re looking for the anti-Christ it’s probably that little girl over there, the one who just got detained and tortured for trying to bring food to starving children.”

  The week always starts a little better when the Dans reference MST3K&apos;s Space Mutiny!! Also building on a comment below, it really frustrates me that Thiel has taken so many beautifully meaningful names from Lord of the Rings and put them on his companies -- Palantir, Mithril. Lembas, Anduril, Narya, Valar and Arda. It feels to me a lot like the Dark Lord taking something pure and twisting it into something evil -- as Sauron did in creating Orcs from captured Elves.
