  You can protect Standing Torches from being attacked by embedding the bottom half of the torch in stone or wood. &nbsp;Creatures will only aggro and attack them if they can actually see the bottom of the torch pole. &nbsp;<br><br>In addition to protecting them it makes the entire torch look more decorative!

  I just block spawn with benches at first, then wards. If you surround a bench with 4 stake walls, 2 along each long side and 1 along each short side they will never get attacked by anything in my experience. For wards, make a triangle of 3 stake walls. You can use the triangle method to cover sap collectors in Mistlands too and if you leave a tiny gap where the collection interact is, you can let the sap fall out the bottom if the collector is placed up high on the edge of a root.
