Thanks so much for reacting to this, Sal, and happy you liked it! Beth Giddons is something else, very unique vibe and style to her delivery. And yeah, comes across ri-DIC-ulousy cool. Hope your allergies go into remission soon. 🤞🤞

Portishead is easily top 10 all-time uk bands, dummy top 3 all time albums, and the Roseland NY live concert the most innovative and influential music art piece. Truly a gem

In 1998, I was wearing this CD out! Portishead was sincerely a brilliant band. A great reaction, SalvoG!

I played this album to death when it came out. And it still sounds fresh today.

Isaac Hayes—without him, this track wouldn't exist. I’m talking about Isaac Hayes and his album Black Moses*. That album features a track that begins with the violin part later sampled by Portishead. The Isaac Hayes track on *Black Moses is titled "Ike's Rap II." I hope that’s sunk in and that you’ll pay tribute to Isaac Hayes.
