Bradley halted Patton at Argentan as he didn't think Patton could stop the German stampede through Falaise. Bradley wrote in A Soldiers Story:<br>"In halting Patton at Argentan I did not consult Montgomery. The decision was mine alone. I much preferred a solid shoulder at Argentan to the possibility of a broken neck at Falaise".

The video says « Marina Islands » but it should be « Mariana Islands ». And please don’t blur out the photos.

Agreed! Good documentaries, but the photos are as important or more important than the story! The public, especially the young of today, should see these! LEST WE FORGET.

Montelimar is in France on the Rhone River, not in Germany east of the Rhine as shown in the video.

Doesnt go into the fact the Falaise area had a few uncrossable creeks and one lane bridges narrow that Tanks could cross , that created choke points once the RAF tore into them

Truly an excellent video,as usual. I have always loved history WW2, American Civil War and UK Railway History. I find these videos fascinating. The Getmans were ( unfortunately) equally as brave as the allies .
