  Pound for pound, the most durable pitcher in MLB right now is Yoshinobu Yamamoto--and he's 5'10" I believe. But I agree, most successful MLB pitchers reside somewhere in the 6'1-6'4" range.

  Angels need to keep Reid Detmers, but for Detmers' career, he should be pitching with a team like Brewers, Reds, Guardians, Royals, or Twins. He will shine and the team will be culturally great match with him. Angels probably kill his future since it's been killing him in the past 4, 5 years. We all know it. Detmers should ask Jo Mo to trade in this November for the sake of his career. I am really glad that Neto has changed in the right direction, he's now what we all wanted at the beginning of this season. I have convinced it when Neto talked to Grissom in the dugout after Grissom made double-play but let a runner to score a run. Neto seemed to remind Grissom that he should've thrown a ball to the home, instead of the second for the double-play. With Gerrit Cole and Grayson Rodriguez on the mound, Angels can't score many but Rodriguez might have not hold with two runners on bases after one out at the home. That was a tough decision in the split a second. I'd lean to Grissom's decision over Neto's, but what  was eye-opener to me was Neto talked to Grissom. Of course Grissom wasn't happy about it, he made double-play and saved a disaster, and limited the damage to just one run. however Neto wasn't shy about expressing his opinion, that's what I really like about. By the way, coaches or manager were supposed to tell Grissom about it, but one coach just pounded Neto's shoulder as if he was saying, "Take it easy". Suzuki and all coaches should be fired at the end of this season. Leading by "quiet example" like Trout does, Angels are dead in terms of leadership for years. Everybody is supposed to be "Good Kids" for angels PR department. Perhaps O'Hoppe was the worst victim of that, poor kid. Now Neto is taking the leadership defensively plus all the sudden he started making contacts with balls. Still Meckler should be hitting at the lead-off spot, and Neto should be the second or third, though. I'm so glad that Neto started shining with Angels as we hope. I am converting from Neto Hater to Neto Follower now. Angels mark 100 losses in 2026? It doesn't matter. we just want to see their efforts to win as a TEAM, and hope that continues 2027 and beyond since we've been betrayed by the end of season hype for years. The Halo Brothers on Podcasts once said Sandoval, a Cy Young contender!?

  Mark, it may be your internet speed. (also in my experience Spectrum sucks in general). I worked from home the last 6 years and just retired this year, but I upgraded my internet speed to 500 Mbps and that really helped. Especially when we still had a couple of our kids still living at home. All computers, tv's, Ipad's, phones on at once. Even when they left, I've kept the faster speed. If you are able to switch to Verizon or Frontier Fios (Fiber Optic) or some other provider other than Spectrum, that may help.

  About Clayton Kershaw: He's a first ballot HOF'er for sure...based on his regular season stats, that is. We can go ahead and label him a mild bust in the postseason. The 2017 and 2019 postseason whoppers, in particular, come to mind. We shouldn't have to feel sympathy to a future HOF'er, but...the Dodgers would probably have a few more WS banners hanging from the rafters if not for Kersh.

  Hey Mark, I would talk to Spectrum about your upload speeds.  If it is less than 20 megabits (not bytes) per second you will have nothing but headaches with these types of formats like teams or zoom meetings.  Download speeds are probably fine, it is most likely your upload speeds that need the upgrade.  I hope that helps and to go back to what Sam said a few days ago, I think you'd be great manager. You have a lot wisdom, knowledge and game sense.  Something to think about.  As for the looming 100 losses this season, it's just the icing on the cake of Arte's legacy in my opinion.  The first Angels owner to lead them to 100 losses.

  Mark, you should switch to Frontier hi-speed. They'll have to replace your dial-up, though.

  Great show guys! Kikuchi is clearly not going to be a part of this team when they are back in the playoff hunt. So I would try to trade Kikuchi to free up salary and use that money to sign Detmers to a multi-year deal. Thoughts?

  If the Angels want to compete next season they need to rebuild the bullpen. Right now they have a blowpen. And the Angels traded iglesias because they really liked Jesse Chavez. Just kidding. Just a stupid salary dump for cheapskate Arte. The Angels have had some good closers the last few years. Too bad the rest of the bullpen was garbage.
