  &quot;Don&apos;t be so glum. You&apos;re basically a fighter now.&quot; Bruh. If someone wanted to play a fighter, they would&apos;ve rolled up a fighter. New or not, there&apos;s no reason to see the GM nerfing a character for AT LEAST 5 LEVELS and not say something.

  To me, OP&apos;s &apos;friends&apos; seem worse than DM. Telling him that they want to spend time with him while completely ignoring that he isn’t having fun is awful

  A high level barbarian claiming its fair to literally strip all the class features away from a paladin because he gets armor is one of the more ridiculous things I&apos;ve heard.

  The &quot;Your class has more features than mine&quot; moment and other mockeries directed at the Paladin really show, at least to me, that no one at the table cared about their fellow player not having fun anymore. They always saw how miserable he was, they just didn&apos;t care.

Responding to it like &quot;Stop being so spoiled&quot; is genuinely horrible to say to someone who is actively expressing their insecurities.

  It feels like blowing all of the rest of your spell slots to save a friend would be a dramatically appropriate time to regain the god&apos;s favor and get their abilities back.

  If I were that guy I&apos;d just become an oathbreaker. Not for story, just to spite them. Can&apos;t be forgotten by your god if you don&apos;t have one.
