  I am NOT part of the group who thought this movie was “okay.” <br>This is one of the few films I can quote the majority of. I love this movie!!!

  My favorite part of the &quot;by all accounts it makes no sense&quot; is that in the Dutch version, afaik, Kronk says &quot;I don&apos;t know, the writers are still figuring it out.&quot;

  I don&apos;t care what anyone says: This is one of, if not THE, funniest movies Disney has EVER made, and it&apos;s packed so full of jokes you can watch it 20 years later and STILL catch a new visual gag going on in the background. If ONLY Disney made more with this kind of manic, free-form energy.

  That whole ending sequence is a parody of Disney movie climaxes: the villains gaining the upper hand initially, the henchman turning good, the villain’s demise by chandelier, the soldiers transforming into monsters and being fine with it (barring bovine), the huge chase sequence, the “Disney Villain Death” by falling a great height, and the Villain’s Transformation sequence into a huge monster to stop the heroes. <br><br>I WISH Critic caught onto this because it’s a perfect use and subversion of Classic Disney finale tropes.

  My favorite part of the movie! <br>Yzma: Tell us where the talking llama is and we&apos;ll burn your house to the ground.<br>Kronk: Uhh don&apos;t you mean &quot;or&quot;? <br>Yzma: Uhhhh!!! Tell us where the talking llama is OR we&apos;ll burn your house to the ground!<br>Pacha&apos;s daughter: Well which is it? That seems like a pretty crucial conjunction.

  This movie was ALWAYS good! Especially if you know it&apos;s production history. Perfect example from the ending. One joke didn&apos;t mention was after Yzma falls, she&apos;s saved by a giant trampoline that has no business being there. That joke made it into the film because the animators were against a deadline and knew Yzma had to survive but no one could come up with any plausible way to save her. The giant trampoline was the first solution offered so they ran with it!
