I've lived in Hua Hin and Da Nang. Hua Hin is 1/10th the size of Da Nang, does not have a major airport, and the beach does not have a boardwalk and nice sand like Da Nang does. So, of course, Da Nang will have more western tourists, especially in My An, which the locals call, the "Western Quarter."

Over the past few years Da Nang has been hyped as THE digital nomad destination, more recently it is experiencing the same fate as all hyped digital nomad hot spots in SE Asia. I was there over a decade ago for work. It has changed so quickly, that can often be problematic these places lose their local charm as the local population is forced out and gentrification takes over. It happens everywhere.

I'm Confused what you want. or is it just click bait .You went from one tourist place to another. I like Nha trang less busy.

I love hua hin! Perfect mix of city + beach. My kids love the waterparks + mall food courts. We love the temples + beach eateries. Only drawbacks are the lack of beach access during high tide + busy highway. But staying in takiab beach away frm highway is more quiet + local. I’m looking forward to visiting Da Nang tho, a nice walkway along the beach for long walks which is lacking in hua hin!

I felt it too. 2019 I habe been to Hanoi. It was kind of calm , cozy. 5 years later it Hanoi was crazy. Overcrowded, loud, pretty expensive. The calmness, "cuteness" was gone. Now it's like Khaosan-Road...just in biiiig. I went back to Thailand with a sigh of relief

Really loved this video. I'm going to be retiring in 2 years and am strongly considering both Thailand and Vietnam. I love how you spent time showing the market. Will be checking out all your other videos. Subscribed!

I love Danang and Hoi An.
3.5 star hotel nightly rates US$11-$14. It rained couple days but usually is sunny. Lunch for US$1.40 for Vietnamese food to $7 for Western food. What’s not to like.

I've spent 29 years in Vietnam, love it. Da Nang is a welcome retreat the best things about it are hard to find as a tourist which is what makes it magic.❤

I have plans for an extended visit to Vietnam and Thailand, so thanks for sharing. I love how everything is so accessible in Southeast Asia.

I was in Hua Hin in 2018 for a few weeks.. I loved it and felt so chilled. A little or a lot of everything there. Great hidden beaches just a little further south.
I’m looking forward to tour all Thailand next year semi permanently with travels in all SE Asia.
Enjoy your time there ❤

I spent a few days in DaNang in March and it rained alot. Didn’t really get to enjoy the beach or the nearby sights, but what I did see reminded me of a typical tourist beach town.
