  He wasn’t just let go from his inquisition. He was froze and tortured for over a century. His inquisitor was found to be related to chaos. They found Titus body frozen in the inquisitors things. Unforced him and gave him the option of death watch

  I believe Titus has the cast-off fragment of the Emperor&apos;s soul. When the Emperor cast away a massive gathering of Warp energy and a piece of His own soul containing His hope, compassion, and love so He could bring Himself to fight Horus without holding back, no one knows what happened to it. I believe that, directed by the Emperor&apos;s will, it was subtly imbued into Titus - deeply hidden and only manifesting when most needed. If I&apos;m correct, then Titus is literally an avatar of the Emperor himself. That hope, compassion, and love in Titus is directed towards the Emperor and the Imperium, making it literally impossible for the powers of chaos to ever taint his soul or cause him to betray his brothers.

  Ok he is missing a huge part. Titus was imprisoned for almost 100 years by inqisitor Trak. He was sealed away in a blacksite until he was found and liberated after the good inqisitor himself was found to be corrupted and executed. Titus was THEN inducted into the Blackwatch as a blacksheild as his own choice

  First off, he didn&apos;t become a Captain in the 2nd until his Captain was killed in an ambush that forced him to take on the roll during the battle. Second Inquisitor Thrax kept him in stasis for most of the 100 years. Afterwards he felt unclean and abandoned by his chapter. He then chose to join the Deathwatch as a black shield in the hopes that he could cleanse himself or die trying.

  He wasn&apos;t offered the Primaris, he was dying and the Chapter Master ordered that he was to get the surgery. Space Marine II has an entire cutscene explaining this.
