  For those wondering what almost killed Calgar, it was the Swarmlord. Calgar only escaped thanks to Captain Aloysius and the Ultramarines honor guard who died holding off the Swarmlord in time for the wounded Calgar to escape.

  One of my favorite things about the Tyranids is how they don't have anyone's mark. No one is claiming responsibility and everyone is equally dumbfounded. The dark gods, the old ones, the ctan, DAoT humans, Necrons, they were all clueless. Even Big E didn't factor them into his calculations. Everyone was playing an incredibly high stakes game of poker with one another until a giant grizzly bear suddenly knocked down the door, flipped the table, and started eating everybody, and the only player who found this enhanced their plans were the Orks, who were already about to flip the table anyway.

  I have a theory that we haven't experienced the Tyranids full cycle of consuming a galaxy yet. What if the Tyranids don't completely polish off a galaxy, what if they leave certain planets alone while they set up another massive node for the hive mind. That's what I think Tiamat is building. The reason I think this is because what we know about the Tyranids is they're adaptable and they consume, what if they have an adaptation to their own consuming nature? The Tyranids can't know that every galaxy in the universe is home to consumable biomass so what if they set up nodes in each galaxy they visit with biomass along with a few dozen worlds that they can keep as farms to sustain the node and continue testing new forms on as the indigenous population evolves

  Replayed Space Marine 2 last week, while I understand the desire to shove more factions into the game it's a shame they get mostly dropped for it would have been fun to board a hive-ship or even talk to one of these rare Zoats.
