"Welcome to your life, there's no turning back".

Simple. Yet, powerfully true.

A friend of Dolly Parton asked her if she go sick of hearing Whitney Houston version of her song ... she said Dolly said to follow me and took her to her office or something and showed her he first Royalty check ... it was for a million dollars.. then she chuckled and said I'll never get tired of hearing Whitney sing my music .. 🎶

The lyrics reflected the state of the world, the music was us getting on with our lives.

Love the cuts between reading Diane describing how dark and melancholy the song is, and listening Diane with the huge smile on her face dancing and having a good time.

When you said you didn't want to rule the world, I was expecting ED to pop in and say 'Speak for yourself'.

I have to admit that this song always makes me smile but it's because it takes me back to going to high school dances
