  finding out this film was ACTUALLY made in the 80's and not some kind of obscure revivalist horror shocked me. she was so so ahead of her time !

  I think the genuine 80s equipment is what gives it more fear value. The camera quality, the microphone quality, it was already perfect.

  I respect her owning her past mistakes and saying she has changed/is more generous now. You here a lot about overzealous, mean, etc director (especially in their early work), but few own it. "I was a person who had been given very little and gave people very little".
