quote “The reason RAM prices went up 4x is that a massive amount of not-yet-manufactured memory was bought with money that doesn't really exist to be put into GPUs that haven't been made yet, to be installed in data centers that haven't been built, powered by infrastructure that may never exist, to satisfy demand that isn't actually there, in order to generate profits that are mathematically impossible.” end quote

As an I.T. guy, I am seeing a few patterns:

people are losing jobs,
the computers are getting expensive,
the manual labor is gonna be done by robots,
food is getting expensive,
real state is hell at the moment,
and of course rich fuckers are TRILLIONAIRES now, not billionaires.

Do they really want to destroy us all ?

I work in IT at a hospital in Norway and because of this we don't get to buy new equipment. Because of data centers that may not exist before it even is built, we don't get new equipment to people who actually need it.

Edit: I can't keep up with all the comments, but thanks for the engagement on this topic.
To clarify a couple of things; we have the money to buy everything we need, but we have a limited set of types of computers that work with our systems. We can't buy any computer on the market.

The hospital I work at has a budget of replacing 1500 computers every year. So far we've replaced 100 because they were actually broken down, and we're almost out of stock with new hardware.. It's not a crisis, but we're gonna be in "debt" with old hardware down the line.
