I'm so happy for the Méliès movie. You forgot one recent discover, the lost ending of Bela Lugosi's Dracula. The lost media that i'll love to see "found" is "Apokal", a movie made by Paul Anczykowski in 71 (it was screened in Cannes festival).

Someone discovered footage of the Don Vito Tooth Pull, an infamous cut jackass bit that hasn’t had any new footage to show up in 20 years but someone bought a promo DVD containing low quality footage, intended for ads. It’s notable for containing the actual shot of the tooth being removed

Be crazy of a year where missing Doctor Who, the last KTMA episode of MST3K and the lost epilogue of Dracula have been found, imagine how wild London After Midnight is finally found?

Hartnell era obsessive here, you got your facts better than most but still a few corrections:

The Daleks' Master Plan was part of the show's third season, not first

Peter Purves (Pur-viss) has much stronger memories of Devil's Planet, perhaps due to the fact his character spends most of The Nightmare Begins delirious and confined to a sick bed and by part 3 they are recovered fully

The collector was not, as far as we know, aware of the importance of his Doctor Who tapes. He'd never even seen them

I agree though, find of the year easily... unless they find some more episodes 🙏

I wrote the Stretch Armstrong comic! I have an original, full version sitting here in my apartment! Cap Toys acquired the dormant product and put out Stretch and Fetch products. The advertising agency I worked at during this period had Cap as a client and we did the packaging and advertising for this and other Cap products. As I recall, I had the idea of including a free comic and came up with the concept of the environmental aspect with the Rainforest and such.
