A good adopted dad wins over a crappy bio dad every time

I just want to say I think it's amazing that you feel comfortable enough with this community that you are willing to share such personal details with us. I want you to know that we will happily listen to any and all stories you have to tell us. I want to thank you for sharing with us.

Your biological dad has missed out on having a relationship with a great son. I'm glad that one of your half-brothers welcomes you into his life.

You are the perfect example of an inspiration, Chris. Your story, your approach towards life, your knowledge and especially the love that you give off. People think it is cliche, but we are able to become a better version of ourselves through the experience of a friend/mentor, even if we never have the opportunity to interact in person.

It makes so much sense that you frequently talk about your ancestors being present at historical events. You clearly did much more research into your family background than most people ever will.

Your birth father is the one that's missing out on a relationship with you. I can tell you are a very well-adjusted and interesting person so it's definitely his loss.

It’s very unfortunate that your dad was in denial but thank you for telling your story very interesting.

The aunt turning her back after the fact is disgusting

I have a 3 year old son and a little girl on the way. This story had me tearing up. I came here for the games, stayed for the history, but now I'm loving the all the extra stuff as well. This story really moved me, thank you for sharing.

People can be very strange about their past when it sometimes conflicts with what they’re comfortable remembering. It’s their loss

The courage it takes to share a story like this doesn't just make you brave but inspiring. As an 18 year who is very much into history AND football, i can definitely say you are one of the most prominent father figures I have after being a fan for so long. If you can achieve that level of connection with your audience such as myself, you very much have it with your kids and I have no doubt you're the perfect dad. Thank you for sharing this story with us, almost had me in tears.

He’s into genealogy but says the test must be wrong. You’re very forgiving.

Interesting story. The fact that your biological Dad is into genealogy but denies the accuracy of the DNA test is super puzzling.
