Zwift vs Rouvy: Which One Actually Works for a Dad Over 40?

  I got both. I alternate Rouvy and Zwift to get my riding in . I need Rouvy to let me train on routes I want to travel to next year. I don't want to be that guy that cannot complete a climb holding up everyone. I probably will ride them solo though to reduce being that guy. I love that guy. I am training to climb and both these platforms will help me get there.

  Rouvy has been my choice. I like the real life routes. There was a recent group race with Patrick Lange, who is a three-time Ironman champ. That was very exciting. Hundreds of people rode in the race. Also, among all the challenges, races, group rides, and workouts I have tried…I don’t think I have ever been alone. There are at least a group of other riders in every single route I have tried.

  I use Zwift only as a platform for training and logging my rides and runs. I couldn’t care less about graphics. As long as it has the tools for me to improve as a triathlete and a supportive community to push myself harder, I won’t be switching my platform any time soon.

  There is only 1 question. Do you want to ride with alot of people, teams, clubs, groups, or do you rather ride alone? All other technical/feature differences are just insignificant.

  Zwift has had a pause membership feature for a while, although it only allowed a maximum of 8 weeks initially but it was enough to cover the best summer months here in the UK! 😂<br>I think Rouvy is great, the variety is good and the visuals are much more engaging.<br>Zwift is head and shoulders above for volume of people and racing but I’m not much of a racer and the humblebraggers get on my nerves!

  I just ordered a Zwift/kickr core 2. I had a look and it seems as though Zwift now lets you pause your subscription. I was considering alternating between Zwift/rouvy by just unsubscribing/re subscribing from month to month, but looks like you can now pause it if you prefer. <br><br>I think I’ll probably enjoy Zwift more in the long run though from what I can see, but wouldn’t mind trying both. Too expensive to have both subscriptions at once for me. <br><br>Can’t wait to get into it. Coming back from injury and looking to build fitness again, low impact.

  Zwift just makes me angry and annoyed. A child-like, optical noisy environment is not promoting serious training, unless Fortnite is your life experience.<br>Rouvy does everything better.<br>Until they (Zwift) F-it up.
