Hi Jake, hopefully you see this and can help give me a better understanding. I work as a firefighter. Last shift we had a vehicle hit a power line pole so hard that it broke the post. The tension in the lines kept the top half of the post from falling flat on the ground, but the bottom of the top half where it separated from the base half was touching the ground. There was a high voltage line (not the low voltage lines just so you know we were aware of the difference) resting on the vehicle. The vehicle had all 4 tires touching grass. <br><br>All that to say, if that high voltage line is hot, is that vehicle safe to touch? I’ve been trying to better understand hot vs ground vs neutral contacts better so I can understand this. However, haven’t stumbled across any cohesive answers.
