  I'm one of those who saw this primarily as a "spot the difference" game and it's kind of wild how much stuff (a movie!??) there is relative to this. Excellent work, as always!

  I had to dip before the premiere ended, but enjoyed the premiere and really enjoyed the video, as always. ☕️<br><br>I also learned that they made a movie. All this time...Just, no clue 🤷‍♂️.

  I recently watched a friend stream The Phantom Pain 🙌 He got really emotional as he took out his squad. He remembered how he recruited everyone in Peace Walker, so it weighed more heavily on him.<br><br>I&apos;m not sure if they use any of the same code-names for the soldiers from both games, but it&apos;d be wild if they did.<br><br>P.T. looked sooo creepy. It&apos;s a shame they had to cancel it. I would have liked to have seen that game more fleshed out.<br><br>I&apos;d be curious to see what a speedrun of The Exit 8. Are the differences so subtle that you are forced to slow down, or would you be able to spot the discrepancies and keep on running?<br><br>The movie is on my radar! Thanks! 👌<br><br>Aaaaand you answered my question about the speedrunners. 😂

  Might be a programmed memory, but I seeing threads on /x/ about what would become liminal spaces long before pandemic&apos;s dawn. Either way, I have not played this game, but I did see the movie. It was so impressive how much mileage they got with such a humble premise.<br><br>This is neither here nor there, but what as delightful way for &quot;I Spy&quot; books to make their resurgence.

  I didn&apos;t dislike Exit8, but as someone who enjoys the genre for many many years I prefer stuff with more sauce, with some weird new lore or a story, something that allows you to soak in the vibes and think about. Unfortunately as much as I liked P.T., it&apos;s emergence did unimaginable damage for every other game that copied it and in turn the landscape as a whole changed for horror to be so grounded in reality that I found myself losing interest. COVID might be at fault, some other factors too, but the meat of horror and immersion for me are notes or journals and voice acting, environmental storytelling, carefully crafted lore, exploration of psychological or scientific problems or phenomena. Different time periods too. FNAF was simple but had expansive growing lore, Amnesia delved into alchemy, Soma tackled science fiction, SCP is an endless well of creepypasta and creativity that just works. There are outliers here and there, but general simplicity of modern hit releases overlap with mass appeal, and I feel like an outsider who cannot empathize with how good a new ps1 style/ue5 asset flip horror game is when I can see the scary twist from miles away, and the seasoning isn&apos;t enjoyable enough to let the simple premise slide.
