When old directors have their heads up their ass and don't hear anyone say NO.

I didn’t hate it but it did noticeably feel like I was watching a Neil Breen film with an actual budget lol. The best part was Colin’s Firth’s character spending the majority of the runtime hellbent on stopping the “disclosure” as if the entire world depended on it, only for him to be like “Eh, fuck it.” at the end. 😂

First time I've ever heard a "Buttercream Gang" reference from anyone

The performative reactions might be the most realistic part of the film.

Oh my goodness, it's so nice to see this and realize somebody else feels the same way I did leaving the theater.

6:45 - all aliens sound the same in all films. That gutteral clicking sound that I think originated with Predator. Every alien sounds like that.

Someone had left a comment that all the stuff we see in Disclosure Day is supposed to be cliche', because it's basically confirming that everything from Roswell to Close Encounters is based on real events. I guess that makes sense, although the movie is still suffering from pacing problems and a underwhelming third act.

The film couldn’t decide if it wanted to be a thought provoking film on human reaction to first contact or an action film with care chases every time they got to philosophical, like the writers had no confidence in the story.
