One of Charles Manson's sons lived at the end of the street I grew up on. His name was also Charlie, he was a normal kid, quiet and polite, playful. His mother kept him to himself, for obvious reasons. No one wants Charlie Manson for a father. But he was a really good kid.

Many times Manson would look into somebody's eyes and appear to become sincere. Remember at 4:08, he said that he used sincerity to fool people.

“A child doesn’t know what terrible is.” Probably the only truth Manson has ever told!

As a Nurse & Psychiatric Professional for 50 years I have seen repeatedly that whatever the child experiences in the home is “normal” for them. Painful? Of course! But the child learns that they simply aren’t worth anything!! 😢 They grow up with no idea what a beautiful human being they are! Thank God, Manson is an extreme example & I’m certainly not excusing him for whatever his part in those horrific events. But I hope you can see that we need to be desperately cautious about raising and loving our own kids ❤❤

He had a gift for clever sound bites. He was a photographic negative of a politician.

If people are interested in what happened as he got older - they should read Tom O’Neill’s book ‘CHAOS: Charles Manson, the CIA, and the Secret History of the Sixties’

He got caught every time he broke the law. You know the inmates got in him, he wasn’t a very good liar either.
