I am Japanese, and I’ve also watched his show when he came to Japan.
Just to be clear in case anyone takes it seriously, the fake family service that Conan O’Brien talked about is not a mainstream service at all. The media only covers it because it’s amusing, and it’s unclear whether the service even still exists. In Japan, there’s a certain atmosphere where free-thinking is somewhat accepted, and since there aren’t many religious restrictions, unique businesses often come and go.

In other words, in Japan, services like the fake family one may occasionally be created as quirky, temporary ideas. However, these types of services hardly ever become established or popular in Japan.

I’d be happy if this helps deepen the understanding of Japan around the world.

I like these more philosophical conversations. Obviously I am here for the comedy, but listening to thoughtful people conversing is always great

I'm the owner of Great White, the restaurant Conan is inviting Rashida to. I don't let him in half the time. I only let him in if he passes out flyers of the restaurant for two hours. Even then I'm conflicted about letting him in.

Rashida really summarized the core issues of engagement based platforms so well. It's such an important thing for people to understand. I hope she keeps preaching that far and wide.

Conan's voice sounds raspy and Rashida's voice is smooth. Good job, Eduardo.

I love that Conan speaks about the remotes, as if we all don’t know them by heart.

“He’s making jokes, just laugh” is a great podcast title

I think that's the first time I see Rashida Jones in an interview and, man!, she's so beautiful and talent and also SO intelligent? I would watch a whole course of her going on these philosophical implications that she touched on here

Rashida and Conan. Two of my favorites. Their conversations should be made into a series then go into syndication...or reruns, or whatever they do to keep a good thing going.

At 15:18, never a truer statement. Conan has done so much for Sona, and you can tell the love they have for each other. She appreciates him letting her be herself, and he appreciates that she is herself, allowing him to be him, even encouraging him to be himself because she has a great affinity for his humor and performances

Also, at 15:57, I immediately thought he was referring to his career.
