  The appeal of Trees on a property is no joke. Some of my favorite YT videos are stories where a neighbor doesn't like a tree on the property next door, has the tree cut down illegally and without permission, gets sued, and finds out "that dumb, nuisance tree" was a healthy old growth Oak worth $100k they get a court order to compensate for. And there ARE lawyers that specialize in Tree/Arbor Law.

  We own a real estate appraisal company. Not having trees on your property does NOT make a difference in what your home will appraisal for. I wish it did but it does NOT

  As far as cheap solar lights, I am in the third year of using those tree luminaries I bought from Costco (2nd shown in your video) - still bright at night.  Agree with overlighting, the glare from the neighbors many lights seep into my house at night - but more of a concern is the disruption to wildlife circadian rhythm.

  Artificial turf  is the worst, here in AZ it is really being pushed, but what they don't tell you is that it needs a lot of maintenance.  With pets, it needs to be sanitized frequently, its REALLY hot, and I seem to use more water on it than I did in my real grass that I had in same footprint.  It has to be brushed, vacuumed, and blown off.  Infill needs to be replenished yearly, its costly. it really looks pretty when everything else has incinerated by sun, nice green to rest your eyes on, but beware!

  Have had our stamped concrete patio for about 14 years now--I reseal it with Foundation Armor Wet Look sealer every 3 years and touch up problem areas with xylene in off years.  I installed a hot tub (Sundance Maxxus) about 15 feet from the patio 2.5 years ago and we use it year round here in the Cleveland area--prefer that over the pool we had.
