Kongs parents and tribe fought the Skull Crawlers en masse, until there was only his parents left. In an effort to save him, they hid/barricaded him in their cave and then fought to the death against the big Skull Crawler while baby Kong watched in horror. Kongs are unusually large but the rage Kong felt at watching his parents die made him grow much larger than any other Kong before him.

I love how this is such a coincidental Marvel team-up. Everyone registers Tom Hiddleston, Sam Jackson, and Brie Larson, but then there’s also one of the soldiers who plays Casey in Loki (Eugene Cordero).

This movie was shockingly brutal; but appropriately so. Surprised how enjoyable it was. And I was definitely not expecting that great emotional final scene with John C. Reilly returning home.

Fun fact, the skullcrawlers are in a state of constant starvation which is why they go for a kill no matter how big or small. Anything they can get they will take. This constant starvation drives them to fight till they are literly incapable of fighting anymore. Which is how the big skullcralwer was able to still keep going after getting its throat literly sliced open at 29:02. Even though their outer skin isnt that durable (Except for their skulls ofc) They wont actually be stopped by the injuries they sustain. Tough little demons.

It wouldn’t be a Kong movie without him fighting while he has a human in one hand and plays “keep away” while fighting the big monster. Love it.
