excuse me but Raymond Burr did not disappear from television for almost 2 decades. He returned in the late 60s only a couple of years after Perry Mason ended with iron side playing a cop who is shot and paralyzed and who has to work in a wheelchair. It was a great show and ran for many seasons. That happened prior to 1985 when Perry Mason returned. Get your facts straight.

Hamilton Burger was not the only prosecutor. Several episodes took place in other towns, featuring a different actor as a different prosecutor.

I was lucky enough to meet Mr. Mason in person. Later in his life he was a spokesperson for Travelers Insurance company. He came to our agency for photo shoots in Harrisonburg Va. I was busy in the copy room when everyone had gone to our lobby for photos with him. He was left in an empty room with me, popped his head in asking if I was going to join and walked with me to be sure I was in the photos with him and the other employees. As if he really care that I wasn’t left out. He was so nice and unassuming for his celebrity. You don’t meet people like that anymore. A real gentleman!
