  I live in Camden. It&apos;s a large borough, &nbsp;we have Hampstead Heath, British Museum, British Library, Regents Park...there&apos;s more to Camden than the market.

  No dude, that’s Reeves Corner — that funny-looking roundabout in Croydon you’re talking about. You&apos;re showing your age! Don’t you remember? That’s where the Reeves Furniture Store stood — a family-run business over 140 years old — before it was burned down during the London riots in 2011.

  Croydon was meant to get a Westfields shopping complex which would have really brought up the area but the plans were cancelled multiple times. In the meantime a lot of shops in and out of the shopping centres were closed down or moved in preparation for development but still 10 years later Croydon looks derelict. &nbsp;I live in Croydon &nbsp;right now but originally from Balham. &nbsp;Croydon isn’t the most friendliest place in my opinion and isn’t somewhere I aim to live at much longer.

  I lived in Brixton London for 5 years in the early 90s and even then it had a bad reputation but i never had any trouble im very good at avoiding it and im from Liverpool so consider myself street wise

  Been living in Tower Hamlets for five years around Roman road council flats and I never had a single problem day or night.

  Rubble outside a house is actually a good sign, it usually means renovations are underway! I used to live in Shadwell, and it was an awesome place. We&apos;d go for morning runs along Wapping and spend our evenings in the student pubs around Whitechapel, walking distance to the city. It is such a fun, diverse area with loads going on. Setting property prices aside (we were renting a two-bedroom flat for £2k a month before COVID) it was a fantastic place to live, especially for young people.

  @<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5VGXb2YPK0&amp;t=1980">33:00</a> Croydon, that fenced off plot with random trees in giant concrete containers used to be Reeves furniture store a 144 year old family company, it was deliberately set on fire in the 2011 riots, the original store can still be seen in the 2009 google street views, the arson and lawlessness was captured on camera at the time, and is still on YouTube, there were no fire engines seen attending initially as the fire brigade were stretched dealing with so many other incidents, I had assumed it had been rebuilt but from your visit we see it never was.
