He isn’t dead. It was confirmed by directors. Well, the final scene of Winston standing by the grave with the dog, is was originally a wide angle shot. The dog is looking to the left, at a man standing under a tree…..but they cut the angle to leave it up to us.

John Wick is mainly trained in combat sambo where they use the best techniques from the grappling world.
Chris Barnett is a 300lbs guy who could do kicks like that because he is a trained taekwondo practitioner and mix martial artist.
The man in the gray suit is Marko Zaror and he is trained in Taekwondo, kickboxing, and mma.

I will say, what John Wick 4 shows is how John is a good, moral man. He does not kill if he doesn’t have to. Even to people that want to kill him or need to kill him. As seen in John Wick 1. So it kind of ties back to 1 how him being a good guy, in a land of killers, helps him win again.
