"ChatGPT didn't realize..." Yeah. ChatGPT DOESN'T realize anything. It's not a person, it doesn't think, and despite it being labeled "artificial intelligence", it is not intelligent. It is predicted text. It doesn't have the side thoughts we have. It's not a doctor. Don't get diagnosis or prescriptions via IA.

Rachel is a good example of someone who NEEDS psychological help after intensive surgeries. Even when it's not on the face, or even visible, so many people 'remember,' their bodies 'remember,' and that should be adressed when such intensive surgery happens - ESPECIALLY when it's facial/functional/cospemtical.

I am Swedish and drunk moose are actually not a rare occurrence at all. They are pretty crazy when drunk and there are a lot of videos of it. Also we are taught to never go near a moose because they can easily trample you and many many dogs have been killed that way, I personally know two people who’s dogs have been killed by a moose.

I think it's possible it was a nerve thing that was affecting her smile. Because the asymmetry isn't as apparent when her face is relaxed.
However, if the doctor actually spoke to her like that and gaslighting her, she probably could sue for malpractice, report him to the board, etc.

For the first story, I dont understand why it took so long to do an autopsy. I thought they were done right away if the death was suspicious

About Rachel: I too had both upper and double jaw surgery. You feel unrecognisable for a month and then you slowly end up seeing your actual result.

Unless it doesn’t interfere with your actual bite, the „lopsideness“ is just something you need to get used to. It happens in some cases as it’s the chin that is crooked, not the jaw itself.

More likely tho, it’s residual swelling. It can take up to a year for swelling to go down. You have metal screwed onto your skull. It’s such a sensitive and important area that’s under constant movement and stress.
During healing, I developed a bad lopsided swelling due to infection. I was devastated and couldn’t look into the mirror. I was tired of the mushy smoothie diet and the tension on my head. I absolutely understand how she felt during the time after surgery. I had the exact same case as she had and it was a life long wait for the surgery, it was on my mind constantly and after, I felt a relief and I was impatient to have my braces and all the pain finally out of my body. To feel pretty and confident.
I mourned the time I felt „ugly“. I felt bad for myself and went through a whole crisis too.
You still feel like the „ugly“ self but don’t look like it. It’s a surgery that primarily fixes major health issues (jaw disaligenment and teeth issues can mess with your entire body!) and this naturally comes with a overall increase in beauty. We naturally do not feel as tho people with obvious jaw misalignment are attractive. We internalise it and feel this way about ourselves naturally. Your face is the first thing people notice about you and it’s what you’re used to.

I had people tell me in the face that what I had done was not needed, that it didn’t make a difference and at the same time tell me, that it was a cosmetic surgery and I‘m lying to everyone about it lol.

I was DONE with this. I followed the r/jawsurgery subreddit for years. I was active and I was talking to people online.
And from one day to the other, I was done with the matter. It had taken over my entire life and personality.
I was irritated a lot and did not feel taken seriously by the people in my life as literally nobody took it as serious as I did. Which I understand, I mean it’s a very specific thing to have done.

But gaaah I too just dipped after it.

I completely understand that she did too.

First story really is a classic example of "police would rather chase a hunch for as long as possible rather than do their job and gather as much evidence as possible to paint a clearer picture." They don't care about the truth. They care ablut getting their guy.

Moose also see dogs as a threat, they don't see a cute puppy, they see a wolf or coyote etc, which come in packs, so it then sees the human as apart of the pack, and will protect it's territory. That's what we're taught in the ADKs anyway.

About the jaw surgery woman :

I feel like this is a case of someone settling into their post op results after a serious bout of post surgery depression. I’ve had a couple surgeries in my life and I’m eternally grateful I was able to go through them but I have had post surgery depression every time. I also have OCD so whenever I’m like this I seek reassurance, triple check everything and lose a lot of sleep to it. I definitely see myself in her, if I was more extroverted then maybe I would have been in her exact situation. I can absolutely understand why she’d leave it like that too, there is a certain shame to look back at yourself in those moments. Keeping it up makes sense but updating is much harder, coming forward to say “sorry for freaking out earlier, I didn’t know everything would be ok” feels humiliating when it publicly ruled your entire life for months. Like you’re known as the “botched surgery girl” and end up updating to say you’re actually fine with it. Rationally I think we can all agree it’s a normal thing to go through with anything that alters your aesthetics permanently but internally it’s difficult to be that vulnerable and honest publicly.

Sorry if this is long but I really think she’s okay and I hope I might reassure others with my rational on it. I hope everything is going well for her <3

While meth psychosis is a very real thing, it rarely leads to severe self-harm (such as tearing one's own eyeballs out). That sounds far more up the alley of something like PCP or bath salts. Either way, that's incredibly tragic. Glad to hear she's doing a lot better these days.
