Welcome to my channel and my life as a certified Master Beekeeper from Cornell University. I am a retired minister with 50 years of parish ministry. I spend most of my time now as a backyard beekeeper in coastal North Carolina. I mentor beekeepers of many ages and levels of experience in five surrounding counties. My interest in beekeeping began in 1962 working on the Boy Scout beekeeping merit badge. Today, with the help of retired friends, we manage 40 to 50 colonies of local bees in a sustainable way. I am a certified Journeyman beekeeper with the NC State Beekeepers Association and past president of the Onslow County chapter. I am also a member of the Eastern Apicultural Society and the American Beekeeping Federation.
