Task Force for American Democracy

71 subscribers

The Task Force for American Democracy was originally founded by the American Bar Association (ABA) as a nonpartisan initiative to address growing concerns about the health and resilience of American democracy. Launched under the auspices of the ABA, the Task Force brought together a distinguished group of legal experts, civic leaders, and public officials committed to strengthening democratic institutions, restoring trust in elections, and promoting the rule of law. Recognizing the critical importance and evolving scope of its mission, the Task Force has since transitioned into an independent organization, continuing its work outside the formal structure of the ABA. As an independent entity, the Task Force builds on its foundational work while expanding its reach and deepening its impact through partnerships, public education, and advocacy. This evolution reflects a commitment to broad, cross-sector engagement and long-term sustainability in the defense of democratic principles.
