First, great video Jacob. Second, you are one of a handful of Vegas Youtubers that are actually providing useful and interesting content. I would put Ruby, Bill Krackomberger and the MIles to Memories guys in that tier also. Congrats on your channel growth, I've been watching for the past few years.

I live here in Las Vegas and play at Ellis Island on a regular basis. I don’t have a host at Ellis, but the Pit Bosses at the Craps Table always offers me a food comp win or lose. Ellis is a great property and is always fun to play at.

Enjoyed! I was never approached by a host, to nervous to ask about one. However I think I use to have a secret host. I would go to thap property about once a month for a few days and play the slots. My mail offer would be for 2 nights but when I asked if I could have an extra one or occasionally two nights they always said yes. Then occasionaly I would arrive or return to my room after a few hours of play, I would have a nice bowl of fresh fruit in my room! Another time I got a nice Christmas card with free ticket to see a show. None of these were big things, but they made me feel welcomed.

In an effort to support the small "locals only" casinos, I visited Ellis Island on 04/07/2025. Played blackjack and craps, usually minimum bets, for about 11 hours and booked a win of about $1100, which included rolling "all the numbers" bonus on the craps table. The dealers except for one were very affable and interacted well with the players. During a break I had a great conversation with one of the dealers about attending rock concerts in the '70s and '80s. Even better, all the players were great, played well, and interacted with one another. Ellis Island is microscopic, but is expanding. Get off The Strip, have some fun, and a cheap but delicious meal.

No way is an average host ever going to tell you to bet less. As a compulsive gambler I was only told to slow my roll by one host.
