The '93 Phillies were the ultimate mullet team. Thanks for covering the last team that wasn't boring.

Kruk is now in the broadcast booth for the Phils, and is hilarious!

You took my suggestion! I went to over 40 games that year and saw them win the pennant - beloved team in this city - RIP Darren Daulton

My all time favourite story on the 1993 Phillies is about Mitch Williams when Larry Andersen quoted " after the 1992 season Jim Fergosi quit smoking, and the next year the first time he saw Mitch Williams pitch during a game he started to smoking again ".

The '93 Phillies are proof positive that mullets weren't just an '80s thing.

I was overseas in the military in 93 and only really got to see the World Series (in the middle of the night) and not the entire season. It was 93 before the internet and streaming etc. I was definitely homesick for my Philly sports teams. So I didn't get to enjoy the season and only really get to enjoy this era in videos like this. Thank You!! One thing you can say about Philly sports teams and their fans.... We are entertaining!!

The “I’m not an athlete” comment from Kruk wasn’t to a reporter, just some random lady. He was in a bar eating a big meal and smoking a cigarette and the lady came up to him and said “You’re a professional athlete, how can you treat your body like that” leading to krukker’s infamous line

I'm a life long Phillies Phan. My childhood was filled falling to sleep listening to them loose as Steve Jelts, Juan Samuel, and Von Hayes stepped to the plate. That night Joe Carter ruined my childhood and when he hit that homerun off of Mitch, I knocked my TV off my dresser in my room and it smashed on the floor. Yeah mom was not happy. Thank god they gave me a win in 2008 and I cried like a baby. Now I'm 47 and hoping I get to see one more before it my time. RING THE BELL!

Some Philly teams that lost in the Finals are forgotten - and some aren’t - the 1993 Phillies was one that was not forgotten.

    great show!
I was mesmerized by the 93 Phillies as an 11-year-old church boy from TN —Didn’t know what to think about those guys back then but they absolutely had a mystique. Years later as a minor league ball player with the Phillies playing in spring training, I got to have a dinner with Darren Dalton prior to his death. Just as you’d expect, he was in a beachside tiki hut in clearwater telling stories of wild times and wild women…😂 it was great!
