  Man how I remember these days, I was 18 in 1988 so you can figure my age now but I feel those years now. I would have slowed down if I knew it was going to affect me this way….Who’s kidding I’d go harder and how I wished these young people could go back and experience that life, what a time. Thank you Lord for the safety and Mercy only you can give cause without the Lord I wouldn’t be here today.

  The song Merle Kilgore did, "let some else drive" was written by my uncle Mack Vickery. He performed on many of these old TNN shows and wrote many hits for lots of big artists.

  Crazy to think Hank Williams would've nearly been 65 years old at the time of this show. He did so much in such a short while, but launched an entire industry through all those he inspired. The difference one man can make.

  Used to love to watch this show from out in California . I was in my late 20’s , digging country and working in the warehouse . Cool times

  Loved it when bocephus kicked off move it on over! &nbsp;Like a boss! Merle was a treasure too! He flat out lived the life of an entertainer. Another boss!
