Thanks for this, Gareth Gore doesn't pull his punches, and it's exactly that honesty this topic needs. As someone who lived through it, I really appreciate interviews like this that let the truth about Opus Dei finally see daylight. Thank you for doing this.

It’s only now that I’ve really learned about Opus Dei through your interesting episode though less that 30 minutes! Born, baptized, raised Catholic, I’ve never taken time to know about it. Staggering, revealing discussion with journalist Gareth Gore which should thoroughly open pigheaded, obstinate minded people to re-examine what this prelature is really all about, no offense meant. Let’s be objective, open-minded Catholics, please. His being invited to meet with Pope Leo XIV is like an epiphany which hopefully will be taken to heart. Praying Gareth’s book Opus and meeting with Pope Leo XIV will be a positive jump-start to at least diffuse this seemingly impenetrable prelature.
I’m still a Catholic, very old and broadminded, a far cry from the Catholic grade school’s first communion, first Friday confessions/ receiving the Holy Communion days!
Again, just my quite brutal personal thoughts, opinions.
More later, next week, BN! 🙌🏼
