They Found Everest Legend George Mallory After 75 Years. The Camera Is Missing

On 8 June 1924, George Mallory and Andrew Irvine disappeared near the summit of Mount Everest. Mallory’s body was found in 1999, but the camera that might establish their highest point was missing. A century after the climb, partial remains attributed to Irvine emerged from the Central Rongbuk Glacier. This film reconstructs the ascent and the searches through camps, fall lines, oxygen bottles, drones, and moving ice.
