It's unbelievable that you say your characters are boring.

I love the chips in her weapons because chips in the sharpened edges usually happen when you DONT handle the weapon the currect way! So it adds to her being inexperienced and practicing

There is a certain nice kind of storytelling bit on the weapon design just being... not unique, that adds to the fact that she may just be potentially above average but still an ordinary rookie foot soldier than a battle hardened veteran, she was given what is basically a standard issue halberd that just happens to be two times her size. It really adds a lot to her more than the mega-Starmie ahh halberd can ever do in this case

I like the look of the older noxian look. It makes the OC seem like they really are wearing borrowed/hand-me-down armour. It lends to the unseasoned warrior, wearing their grandpops stuff.

From the first design to the second design it looks like she was an old videogame character who got a glowup in a sequel

I think one thing you can do to reinforce the “nervous bean” of it all is to add some contrast between the character and her armour.

If she’s decked out in brutal shapes and sharp edges, it tells us a lot if her face is visually softer and brighter than her unfitting dark attire.

I love the design. I can't help but imagine how hellish it would be to redraw this character multiple times for comic purposes though. I had to simplify my Sona down a LOT because I made him a nightmare to draw.

Overwatch characters are also so detailed, which is annoying because when I draw fan art I want to draw EVERY detail which sometimes isnt feasible 😭😅
