Family Matters was already burned out at that point.

Homework on a Friday night should be considered a felony.

As a kid, Family Matters and Step By Step switching networks was "Disney poaching Doug from Nickelodeon" levels of betrayal.

I will forever be grateful to People for doing the cast reunions because it’s where I learned that Jo Marie Payton was 5 seconds from choking Jaleel White on several different occasions 😂

Even if CBS didn’t steal the shows, TGIF wasn’t going to survive. Kids who grew up on TGIF were turning into teenagers and Adults and moving on. Both Family Matters and Step By Step were getting stale before they moved networks.

The quality of Family Matters and Step by Step plummeted drastically once they switched networks... 😂😂😂😂

The people who didn’t follow Step by Step when it moved to CBS, probably have no idea that Brendan Lambert disappeared without any explanation 🕵🏻♂️

Full House started out as one of the T.G.l.F shows before moving to Tuesday nights. Also Perfect Strangers was also part of the T.G.l.F lineup before moving to Saturday nights.

Im 37, man how i miss the 90s, when all the family was still here. Get togethers were everything. I swear Blockbuster and Pizza Hut on a Friday night in the 90s were 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥

I might be misremembering, but the rise of Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon on Fridays had a hand in this too.
