  I am a mom of 9 (ages 5-23). Almost every point in today's message was freeing and speaking to a different aspect that I see in my own parenting. I was continuously in tears while praying my way through. Thank you so much for this message. I will be watching it again in the future. My oldest four are out of the home, some following God, some not. I have had a lot of mom guilt that I wasn't doing enough. I guess my older 2 were going through the motions of christianity until they left home. My 15 year old is more vocal about not walking with God. I am praying for more opportunities for God to show Himself real especially in her life and for wisdom to help each one walk the path God has for them.

  God made me to be a homeschool mom. I stay at home, manage the home, make the meals, clean the house, and am also a wife. My husband and I waited until we were financially ready for me to stay home. And now our ministry first is our children so that our children will also be fishers of men. My husband and I are our children's FIRST peers they are looking up to. Yes we do sports, yes we go out. The family unit has been broken apart. Children are no longer close with their parents or pointed to God.

  Thank you all, especially Christine for highlighting cultural considerations in mothering. Sometimes as Christians, we allow the lines to be blurred, forgetting that the bible should be our ultimate blueprint for living. Your message has been a timely reminder to source strength in God with motherhood being physically and mentally draining. Not always easy- but I find hope with reminders like these.

  My mom passed away while I was pregnant with my triplets. I wouldn't have wanted her to suffer a minute longer. I miss her so much and on days that I struggle with my girls, I would love to just have her present. I know God has her in heaven so that is enough for me but, boy oh boy, I have had some hard times. I love what Christine said about not making it our issue when/if we see that our kid is struggling. I have truly learned the power of surrender recently (last 2 years) but I also just want to say that my daughters often remind me to just let God handle it. I am so blessed that His hand has been over every single step of my journey as a mom (post IVF and multiple miscarriages). Lord, thank You, for taking care of me and them in utero and beyond. Our God is an awesome God! ❤

  This entire conversation 😢.  Thank you. Im a terrible homeschool mom. My daughter even told me. However , this is what we had to do during this season.  Thank you for helping me today. I am trying and I want to be the best mom. But I am going to go to God for help and pray that he directs me.

  Being a single mom is the hardest thing. Theres days where im just like okay this is too much. Im tired & exhausted at times. People always speak about the joy of being a mom but not the struggles hardships and judgements mothers endure. I get mom guilt when im frustrated or want space to myself especially when my daughter is not cooperating. I need prayer to experience motherhood as a gift because sometimes it feels like a burden.

  I love this conversation. I am a Ghanaian -American and I can confirm that Americans are seriously obsessed with their kids, in an unhealthy way. You don’t need to be around your children 24/7, quality over quantity! That’s how I was raised and I plan to have similar conversations with my children as well. Thanks for this, as a mum to a 1 year old, it’s very helpful to hear from seasoned mothers 💕🙏🏾
