I’m Ben in the video and I’ll explain the maths of the housing scam.

You buy a house for £350k, borrow £300k from the bank. Over the next 30 years you pay back 600-£750k. Therefore it’s a bank asset not yours. Further more, assets should cash flow you every month and not cost you. Instead of paying £1500pm into a property that you’ll never ever own (I’ll get to that bit) I put my money into cash flow assets. Businesses, containers that I rent out, stocks and shares and even more businesses. Everything that cash flows every month.

You never own the house because they tax you on it and that’s increasing, if they fine you for some stupid crap like not wearing a mask they’ll take your asset to pay for it etc.. they’ll constantly change rules until you’ll ’own nothing and be happy’. Housing is a scam, but people will always defend what they’ve invested in. You must invest what you save from being in van life.

Housing isn’t a scam, the prices in the last 10-20 years are.

So refreshing to listen to a happy couple who are really switched on. They are 100% right about buying a house. It is an aspirational dream sold to us a status, sold as something to aspire to, when all it does is trap you onto the conveyor belt of working to make profits for the banks, instead of this approach where you work and invest in assets that will deliver dividends and big profits that will actually make you wealthy, happy and contented. I am so impressed with you guys, two people who are switched on, you have worked out a simple formula that will allow the pursuit of happiness and enable financial independence. So impressive, well done guy's. I wish you all the luck in the world🍾🥂

I spent the whole video thinking "she looks familiar" before remembering it's from Liam Tuff's podcast. Kirsty has a fascinating back story, well worth a watch.

Jesus…Housing is a basic human right. What’s a scam is the cost. Especially in the US where houses are made of cardboard.
