  I've seen the Mithream, you can visit it if you take the tour of the church. You can't go in, any more than you can wander around and touch a lot of the other antiquities.

  I'm noticing a pattern with these forbidden series, it's as if the more ancient the remains the less likely they're to be excavated because someone knows that what will be discovered will impact or change old beliefs held by modern society.

  I've been to the Necropolis under San Pietro. It's an hour guided tour and yes it must be reserved. The creator of this video has seemed to confuse the Necropolis tour with the Vatican archives/library where the requirements are more stringent as it's typically reserved for academia.
