  *Quick correction on the Showtime section, but it wasn't all just a play. She was actually saving the theatre from Grape who locked the leads actors in an alternate dimention. You can even see the building destroyed near the end of the game

  Honestly, I like the direction Nintendo has been taking with Peach. Positioning her as a co-protagonist alongside Mario &amp; Luigi feels like a natural evolution.<br><br>There’s nothing wrong with her past as a damsel in distress (she&apos;s kind of THE pioneer in this), but after so long it gets repetitive. Letting her step into a more active, playable role alongside the other characters makes the stories more interesting and less predictable, without erasing what she’s always represented.

  Actually, in Superstar Saga, it’s revealed that Peach knew about Cackletta’s plan, so she switched with Birdo at the beginning to trick them, so they couldn’t use the Beanstar. She still gets kidnapped by random enemies in the desert, though, and also still gets kidnapped by Cackletta while Luigi’s out trying to find medicine for Mario.

  You got Superstar Saga a little wrong. That wasn’t actually Peach whose voice was stolen. She knew Cackletta was coming so she set up a decoy

  In color splash, before peach is kidnapped, you can go see her for a full heal, also throughout the game, she sends mario letters to give him info she gathered on the situation

  In Brotherhood there&apos;s a moment where Peach actually volunteers to be &quot;kidnapped&quot; to spy on the enemy, which is cool. Though you can also send Luigi, and I thought it was a missed opportunity to have a fun bit where Peach teams up with Mario as a temp party member to rescue him for that segment if you make that choice (as it is, it just makes Mario alone for that period so there&apos;s no point to doing it).
