  In Europe, when it comes to food, the health of citizens is more important than corporate profits. In the US, only corporate profits matter; the health of citizens is of little concern.

  The principle in the food industry in America is basically that everything is allowed until it has been proven to be unhealthy or dangerous to human beings while in Europe, the producers of food have to prove that their products are safe for human consumption before they are even allowed to release the products to the consumers.

  This is the real reason American companies can&apos;t sell their products in the rest of the world. The rest of the world realises that poisoning their citizens will lead to higher healthcare costs so companies are required to prove their products are safe to consume before they can be sold. In the US unhealthy products lead to health issues which then feeds the for profit healthcare industry.

  It is even worse. Natural products are not safe in the U.S. either. For example, the insecticide Exirel has a 21-day safety interval in Europe. In the U.S., it is 3 days.

  Most of the chemicals aren&apos;t banned in Europe. They are restricted, all this means is that they have to put on a warning label like he shows at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9331MGRauA&amp;t=311">5:11</a> with the mac &amp; cheese. Yellow 5 is known as E102 and Yellow 6 E110 over here. Companies self regulate their use here, for the chemicals they have to put warnings on they simply change the ingredients just to not put the warning on. That&apos;s it, they aren&apos;t banned, we can import the US versions if we really want. But companies feel the warning might harm sales so they simply use better options.<br><br>BVO is flat out banned, you can&apos;t even import foods that contain it. &nbsp;<br><br>You also have to bare in mind with Europe - Particularly the EU and UK - is that we are more focused on keeping our citizens healthy, so even though we have universal health care people don&apos;t need to use it. Sure it&apos;s great when we do need it, but preventative measures that keep us healthier is always the best option.

  About warning labels, yes we put them on the box. A few months ago we started seeing a new warning label, for simple things like high fat, high sodium etc. And the government made sure to make the label really ugly so we can’t miss it.

  French Fries in Europe usually have 3 ingredients, while USA have 14...<br>Also. Mc Donald&apos;s in Europe have higher quality food than in USA.
