It might not be my favorite console, but it was still the console I spent the most time playing.

Been rocking my PS4 Slim since late 2020 and still use it even when my PC is almost as good as a PS5

I've owned death stranding since release and only got past the first chapter to finish it earlier this year and I don't think it's possible to describe the game without at least an hour long video and that's because I don't think anyone experiences the same thing. For me it was an exploration of finding meaning in embracing silence and loneliness and just doing that I can to help people around me. I've heard that the little messages saying that other players are happy with your efforts are all fake and just there to add flavour to the world but they still genuinely gave me a boost when I needed it. I also found the game to have a plot with huge stakes in extinction but still tells you to slow down and breathe to decide how to do the job right helped along by the scener, my only complaint is that there isn't an option to pull the camera back to see more of it whilst you play. It's a game that promises that the worst thing is happening but wants you to meditate and reflect on it and yourself to win.

Shocked you didn't sneak Balan Wonderworld in there, considering you bought it me for Christmas one year. Clearly you're the biggest fan in the world.

There's a glaring omission in this list: there are no racing games! If I had to choose one racing game and only one, it would be Driveclub. Not because it's the best but because it wasn't released anywhere else and the only other way to play it other than in PS4 (or PS5 backwards compatibility) is through emulation, which it's still a little bit green IMHO.

I don't know if I would include indie games on this list considering how many games the PS4 had available.
